RASUWA, DEC 09 - Police have arrested a man of Gatlang of the northern Rasuwa district for his alleged involvement in rape of an elderly woman.
According to Chief of the District Police Office, Achyut Prasad Pudasaini, the arrestee is Cher Singh Tamang, 37, of Gatlang VDC-2. Investigation into the case is underway, police said.
It is said that Tamang raped 55-year-old woman of Kherogoun of Gatlang on December 1 when there were no other family member of the woman in the house.
Legal process to take action against Tamang has been forwarded after the victim filed a case against him.
Organising a press conference, All Nepal Women's Association, Rasuwa condemned the incident and demanded the stern action against the guilty. RSS
