Probe committee inspects Bharatpur Prison

CHITWAN, DEC 08 -
A probe committee formed under the coordination of Joint-Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Shankar Koirala inspected the Bharatpur Prison on Thursday.
The team inspected the jail and also inquired the staffs and prisoners of the jail.
The team, which reached Chitwan on Wednesday afternoon, also visited all the injured persons including Shiva Prasad Poudel, President of Tarun Dal, Chitwan, and acquired information about their health condition by reaching the hospital the same evening.
The team also visited family members of the injured.
Joint Secretary Koirala today said the committee was committed to publicize the facts after carrying out investigation for a week.
Meanwhile, an unidentified group vandalized Bal Kumari College in Chitwan.
According to the College Administration, the group comprising of a dozen youths vandalized the college at around 9:30 am this morning.
Windowpanes were broken due to the vandalism, and search for the group is underway.
The group has been forcing to shut down shops and educational institutions at different areas of the district.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Nepal Students' Union (NSU), Chitwan, Parameshwor Khanal said that there is no programme for shut down called by the party or its sister organizations. RSS
