‘No federalism based on ethnicity’

Nepali Congress Central member Sujata Koirala has said that the country will split if federalism is institutionalised on the basis of ethnicity.
Speaking to the reporters at Ilam headquarters on the way for imparting training to party cadres on Thursday, Koirala said federalism should be institutionalised responsibly and it should not be based on party interest.
"Opposition parties have also been stressing on the leadership of the NC in the government, she added, the NC-led government is required to promulgate new constitution following the conclusion of the peace process.”
Also On the occasion, Koirala said the NC will not join present Bhattarai-led government and added that it did not join the government to assist in the peace process
