Jewelers shut down to protest murder

KATHMANDU, DEC 04 -  

All jewelry shops in the Kathmandu Valley are closed today in protest against the murder of Jujukaji Bajracharya, a jeweler from Lalitpur who was found murdered in his shop on Friday night.

All jewelers in Kathmandu are closing shops today in protest against the cold-blooded murder and calling for security of the people in this trade.

General Secretary of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (NEGOSIDA), Manik Ratna Shakya said all the gold and silver outlets in the Kathmandu Valley will remain closed today to put pressure on the government to ensure the security of the gold and silver. 

Shakya also called on the government to hunt down the people involved in Bajracharya’s murder and bring them to book. RSS
