Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakash Man Singh has accused the UCPN (Maoist) of misusing the state funds by showing fake numbers of combatants in the cantonments.
"The Maoist should return misused funds else the general public will have to think for the alternatives," Singh said. Speaking at a programme in Bhaktapur on Saturday, Singh said the NC has kept the accounts of misused funds by the Maoist.
He said "Maoist took United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) in confidence to misappropriate more than 150 millions rupees from the state funds.”
Saying that the peace process is possible provided that the Maoists implement past accords, Singh urged the Maoist to abide by the past accords responsibly.
