JANAKPUR, NOV 30 -
Three pedestrians were killed and one was injured after a truck ran over them at Pushpul of Dhanusha district along the East-West highway.
Seema Ghising, 6, Reema Ghising, 8, and Asta Bahadur Shrestha, 55, were killed by the truck (Na 3 Kha 5611).
Seema and Shrestha died on the spot while Reema died on the way to the Janakpur Zonal Hospital. Roshan Shrestha, 8, who is seriously injured, was ferried to the Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.
The locals had disrupted the highway for a while following the accident. However, transportation has come to normalcy after the police intervened in the case. The driver, along with the truck, is in police custody.
