Cabinet approves foreign aid; makes appointments
KATHMANDU, NOV 28 - The government has decided to accept an aid of Rs 1.83 billion to be extended by the British Government to run a project to stop the effect of climate change.
The Cabinet meeting on Monday also decided to accept an aid of Rs 30.84 million to be given by the Finnish government for the Environmental Transmission Improvement project, Education Minister Dina Nath Sharma informed.
Likewise, the government has also decided to provide facilities to the teachers working in Achham and Jajarkot districts on par with the civil servants. The decision ensures that the teachers of these districts will get remote allowance on a par with civil servants.
The Cabinet has appointed Devendra Kumar Yadav as the Managing Director of the Gramin Awas Company, Siyaram Singh as the Managing Director of Dairy Development Corporation and Radhes Panta as Executive Director of Investment Board.
Similarly, the government has approved the resignation of Bidhadhar Malla from the post of Vice Chairman of the Poverty Alleviation Trust.
