PAC directs NT to furnish documents on solar installation

KATHMANDU, NOV 23 -
The Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature Parliament on Wednesday directed the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Nepal Telecom (NT) to submit all the documents concerning the installation of solar plant within three days.
The PAC issued such directive following a discussion with the NT officials and secretary of the Communication Ministry this morning.
The PAC directed the officials to submit all the documents concerning the process, standard, contract paper, tender issued while installing the solar plant, PAC President Ram Krishna Yadav informed.
The PAC summoned the meeting with the officials following alleged irregularities in the tender process during the installation of solar plant.
A few months back, the NT had called for tender for installing solar plant to charge the batteries of the NT towers at various places.
