KATHMANDU, NOV 20 -
A pedestrian died in a road accident at Bijuli Bazaar in Kathmandu on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Kharel, 25, of Gulmi district, currently living in Thapagaun in the capital, according to Baneshwor Police Circle.
The accident took place when a motorcycle heading towards Maitighar from Bijuli Bazaar hit Kharel and afterwards a micro bus (Ba 3 Kha 5552) trampled him.
Kharel died while undergoing treatment at Norvic International Hospital, Thapathali.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Tribhuwan Teaching Hospital for post mortem, police informed.
According to Head Constable of the Police, Binaya Bhujel, police have arrested motorcyclist Pramod Bista and microbus driver Kishor Koirala and impounded the vehicles.
Investigation into the case is underway, informed police. RSS
