National Campus dethrone Prime

KATHMANDU, NOV 20 -
Host Prime College’s domination in the Prime Cup came to an end on Saturday when the home team failed to defend their title in the both categories, girls’ and boys’. In the boys’ category, National Campus dethroned the host defeating them 56-42, while the girls’ final saw Premier beat Prime 32-29. New champion National started out strongly developing 5-point lead at the end of the first quarter, which ended 17-12. The remaining two quarters were closely fought (7-6 and 12-13 points), there was no stopping National in the final quarter as they took it 20-11. In the girls’ final, Premier trailed the first quarter 11-9 but bounced back in the remaining quarters taking them 8-6, 6-4 and 9-8.
Daffodil, Mahendra Bhawan win
KATHMANDU: Daffodil School and Mahendra Bhawan School won the boys’ and girls’ title respectively in the Baba Inter-school Basketball on Saturday. In the boys’ final, Daffodil downed HIMS 57-48, while Mahendra Bhawan beat Daffodil 42-21 to take the girls’ crown.
