Fire guts property worth Rs. 2m in Dharan

ITAHARI, NOV 19 -
Property worth two million rupees was gutted in a fire in Victoria Chowk in Dharan Municipality-19 of Sunsari district on Friday evening.
The fire completely destroyed a house of a local, Khadga Bahadur Limbu.
According to the Area Police Office, it had been difficult to douse the fire immediately as fire broke out in the house during load shedding hour.
Property of different five families living on rent at the house was gutted in the incident. The fire is said to have started from a candle lit during the power cut hours.
Two fire engines from Itahari and Dharan, local residents and police jointly worked for two hours until 10:00 pm to bring the fire under control. RSS
