Pokhrel rules out possibility of national consensus govt
DANG, NOV 18 -
CPN-UML Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has said that the rationale of the present government will be ended after Nov 30, adding that transforming the present government into a national consensus government is not possible either.
Speaking at an interaction organised by the Reporters Club in Dang on Friday, Pokhrel said the government is formed on the base of the four-point agreement, therefore, unless the agreement was scrapped with political consensus, no national consensus government could be formed.
UML Secretary Pokhrel also claimed that the present government had failed to play its responsible role, that's why it could not be changed into a national consensus government.
Also on the occasion, he criticised Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai for forming a jumbo Cabinet though he talked about austerity by boarding a Mustang car.
Pokhrel said the government should be more serious for returning the captured land and property and stressed on the need of concluding the regrouping of the Maoist Combatants within Nov 30. RSS
