Robbers strike
KATHMANDU, NOV 15 -
The Valley recorded three cases of robbery on Monday and Sunday. At wee hours on Monday, property worth Rs 54,000 was stolen from the house of Sita Ram Toyana Bashu in Wanti-4, Bhaktapur. According to police, an unidentified group broke into the house and stole two 29-inch television sets, leather jacket and other stuffs. On the same day, property worth Rs 425,700 was stolen from the rented room of Sharmila Thapa in Manamaiju-5.
An unidentified group entered Thapa’s room and stole jewellery, mobile set, 3 blankets, 7 pairs of clothes, 5 bed-covers and, cash Rs 38,000. Meanwhile, on Sunday evening, an unidentified person robbed 32-year-old Minu Ale, currently staying at Guwarko, of Rs 37,000 cash and a gold ring at Indrachowk. Police say they are looking for the culprits.
