Body of woman found, family members abscond

RAUTAHAT , NOV 13 - Police have found dead body of a woman near Dumariya-4, Balchanpur village of Rautahat district, Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Dulariya Devi Saha, 27, wife of Panilal, 30, of Balachanpur village.
Police suspected that the family members murdered her by tying her neck with a rope.
Villagers said that the quarrel that erupted in the house on Saturday evening and the body found in bamboo grove near the village this morning proved that she was murdered.
Police Inspector at the Area Police Office, Chandranigahpur, Gautam Mishra said the family members might have hidden the body as there were marks of rope tied on the neck and body dragged on the ground.
Husband of the deceased, Panilal and father-in-law Ram Chandra Saha have absconded. Police have arrested the deceased’s mother-in-law Siyawoti Saha who was hiding in another village.
Siyawoti said quarrel had taken place between her son and daughter-in-law, but she does not know what had happened later.
Deceased’s father Motilal Saha of Bisanpurwa-5 of Rautahat district said his daughter had been living in her parents' house after her family members tortured her by thrashing time and again, and had come to her husband's house only 15 days ago.
Dulariya had got married to Panilal seven years ago and had one five-year-old son and two-year-old daughter.
According to villagers, Panilal has been absconding from Saturday evening taking the children with him.
Search for the absconded and investigation into the case is underway, said police. RSS
