PARSA, NOV 13 -
Police exchanged fire with hemp smugglers in Sonbara VDC of Parsa district on Saturday night.
The firing took place when police tried to take control of hemp being imported in Parsa from Makwanpur district through the jungle.
Smugglers ran away when the police fired a single round after the smugglers fired three rounds targeting the police, DSP Rabindra KC said.
Police arrested Birbal Yadav and Imamul Gaddi of Sonbarsa-5 of Parsa district in the skirmishes, and confiscated four sacks of hemp. But there was no human loss, the police said. RSS
