DADELDHURA, NOV 12 - Senior leader of the CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli on Saturday claimed that the UCPN (Maoist) will loose its identity if the party does not show honesty towards implementation of the seven-point agreement regarding peace process.

He said that the Maoists were compelled to sign the pact on Nov 1 as they had no other option left.

“Maoist has signed the seven-point deal when they had no options left in front of them,” Oli said, speaking to media persons in Dadeldhura on Saturday. “They understood that none of their plans would work and hence they signed the pact,” he added.

Due to the weakness of the Nepali Congress and the UML, the Maoists confined thousands of youths in the cantonments, putting their future in risk, Oli said.

He accused the Maoists of unnecessarily prolonging the peace process by staging various dramas.

Claiming that none of their dramas would further protract the peace process, Oli remarked that the Maoists would loose their identity alike their meaningless and violent war if they do not become honest towards the implementation of the seven-point agreement.
