‘Clemency to Dhungel could stir up harmony among parties’
KATHMANDU, NOV 12 - Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Prakash Man Singh on Saturday warned of nation-wide stir if the government does not withdraw the Cabinet decision to provide clemency to murder accused UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Bal Krishna Dhungel.
Speaking at a blood donation programme organised by the NC on the occasion of 96th birth anniversary of late NC leader Ganesh Man Singh in Kirtipur today, Singh remarked that the government recommendation to pardon Dhungel, who has been slapped life term by the Supreme Court for murdering Ujjan Kumar Shrestha, was a mockery of law and order situation of the country.
