Gachhadhar prays for peace, timely statute at Manakamana
MANAKAMANA, NOV 10 -
Acting Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar went to Manakamana Temple to offer prayers on Thursday morning.
Gachhadhar said he had come to the temple to pray for the completion of the peace process and timely promulgation of the new statute.
“Manakamana is a powerful goddess, so I prayed for the peace process and constitution drafting,” he said speaking to media persons.
He also added to have pleaded for his successful tenure as the home minister. “I also asked for the successful tenure as a morally good home minister,” he said.
On the occasion, Minister Gachhadhar mentioned that the proposal to provide amnesty to UCPN (Maoist) Lawmaker Bal Krishna Dhungel should be taken lightly as it was also proposed in the tenure of Jhala Nath Khanal.
He, however, said that the cabinet meeting would reconsider the proposal after the return of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai from SAARC summit.
In another context, he remarked that the cabinet expansion has made a mole of mountain, as it was a process to fill the vacant ministries as per the law and constitution.
He also informed that the pending issues of transfer of police inspectors would be carried out in a week.
“All the required proceedings have been prepared and the transfer will be carried out transparently,” he said.
Gachhadhar, along with a 40-member team, accompanied by family members and assistants, had gone to the temple.
