Govt on the wrong path: MK Nepal
BIRATNAGAR, NOV 09 - CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has remarked that the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has worked in contrast to the expectations of general public. He claimed the government has been carrying out negative activities.
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport on Wednesday, the activities of the government such as appointing murder-accused Prabhu Sah as minister and making recommendation to the president for granting clemency to murder convict lawmaker Bal Krishna Dhungel have raised doubts whether the current government is against the human rights.
Accusing the Bhattarai-led government of trying to cover up the crimes and criminals, Nepal asserted that the formation of jumbo Cabinet has made a mockery of PM Bhattarai’s “economical” policy.
“This government will face decisive test on November 23,” said the UML leader.
He remarked that the UML will not join this government as it was formed on wrong foundation. “But the UML will participate in the next to-be-formed government,” said Nepal.
The UML leader opined that the Nepali Congress should get the leadership of next government.
