Jumbo Cabinet earned Bhattarai ill-fame: Nepal
RAUTAHAT, NOV 08 - Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has declared confidently that the general elections would be held after promulgating the new constitution by the end of Nepali year 2069 (i.e. mid April of 2013). He called on all the political parties to prioritise the constitution writing to make it happen.
Speaking at the inaugural of Nunthar Festival in his home district Rautahat on Tuesday, the UML leader remarked that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai lowered his reputation by inflating the size of his Cabinet. He opined that Bhattarai caused financial burden to the country by forming a jumbo Cabinet just like Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba.
He said PM Bhattarai defamed himself by forming a jumbo Cabinet.
“People had expectations from Bhattarai that he would do something to the country,” said Nepal, “But he ended up defaming himself by forming a huge Cabinet beyond the capacity of the country.”
