Chinese delegation calls on prez, PM

KATHMANDU , NOV 07 - Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Central Committee and Secretary of CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, People’s Republic of China, Liu Qi paid courtesy calls on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai at their respective official residences on Monday.
Matters of bilateral relations and mutual interests, including Nepal-China cooperation were discussed during the meetings.
Liu Qi also held courtesy meeting with Minister for Commerce and Supplies, Lekh Raj Bhatta.
During the meeting, both Commerce Minister and Chinese leader Qi witnessed the signing ceremony of the Agreement of Cooperation between China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council (CCPIT) and Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) at hotel Soaltee.
Leading a 20-member delegation, Mr Liu Qi is on a friendly visit to Nepal from November 5 to 8. RSS
