KATHMANDU, NOV 07 -

A joint meeting of the Anfa officials and the representatives of the top eight teams of Martyrs Memorial A Division League on Sunday decided to host the A Division National League outside Kathmandu Valley.

Issuing a press statement, Anfa revealed that the league schedule to kick-off from December 17 will be played in a single round-robin format. However, Anfa have not declared the venue.

The decision of hosting the league outside the capital was made due to the unavailability of stadiums inside the capital as Anfa is hosting the finals of AFC Challenge Cup on March.

The football governing body has further stated that the foreign players must come through Transfer Matching System (TMS) and should have a work permit to play for a club.

Meanwhile, Anfa has decided not to release the players of Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) from the national close camp for the upcoming Safal Pokhara Club.

Also, MMC can recruit foreign players only as per the ANFA Regulations-2067 under TMS system.

Earlier, MMC had requested Anfa to release their players from the close camp.

Likewise, the stalled B Division League will start from November 17.
