KATHMANDU, NOV 07 -
Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gacchadhar on Monday said that Ministry of Home Affairs is due to issue a white paper within a week to strengthen the security system in the country .
Gachhadhar also remarked that the general public would feel the change in the security conditions following the issuance of the same.
Speaking with mediapersons at Tarhara in Sunsari on Monday, Gacchadhar maintained that the security in the Tarai region was improving as compared to the past.
“Those 109 armed outfit have either surrendered or are booked as per the law,” he said. “Now there are about a dozen and half such outfits in operation. Attempts are on to bring to the peace process through talks,” he added.
Gacchadhar had gone to Tarhara to participate in the assembly of the eastern region security officials beginning today.
