Cabinet endorses PM’s Maldives visit
KATHMANDU, NOV 03 -
The Cabinet meeting on Thursday endorsed Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s visit to Maldives to participate at the 17th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit.
An 11-member team led by the PM will fly to Maldives to participate in the summit due to be held at Addu city in the island of Hithadhoo, Maldives, on Nov 10-11.
Also today, the Cabinet promoted Nawaraj Dhakal and Bhisma Prasai to AIG of Nepal Police. Similarly, Durj Kumar Rai has also been promoted to AIG of Armed Police Force.
Likewise, Chad Tara Kumari has been appointed as the Chairperson of National Women’s Commission.
The meeting has also extended the tenure of Tapa Nath Shukla as the Executive Director of Radio Nepal by two years.
Likewise, the Cabinet meeting has also appointed five vacant posts in the Poverty Alleviation Fund. The appointed members are Dr Kul Bahadur Roya, Akhileshwor Das, Kama Das, Basanta Bahadur Taylor and Durga Neupane.
