Thapa refutes his earlier allegations against Dahal
KATHMANDU, OCT 28 - UCPN (Maoist) General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa has refuted his earlier allegations upon party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal that the Maoist chief had links with Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He said that he has not accused Dahal of links with the RAW.
Talking to reporters in Bharatapur on Sunday, the Maoist general secretary had alleged that Dahal had gone to India’s Siliguri from Biratnagar a few months ago in the name of personal visit and met RAW agents. Thapa had also accused that Dahal had agreed to integrate only 5,000 cantoned combatants instead of 10,000 following an understanding with the RAW.
The Maoist general secretary claimed that his statement was misinterpreted.
