'Bhattarai-led govt weakest in nation’s history'

KATHMANDU, OCT 23 -
Former Prime Minister and senior leader of the CPN-UML, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has remarked that the Baburam Bhattarai-led government is the weakest and most incompetent government in the country’s history.
Speaking at a program in the Capital on Sunday, Nepal expressed doubts about the current government’s ability to complete the peace and constitution drafting as it was formed on a very weak foundation.
“This government is handicapped and the weakest and most incapable in the history,” Nepal said.
He noted that two big parties of Nepali politics—Nepal Congress and CPN-UML have been staying in the opposition bench in this government but the previous two governments, including the one led by him, had comparatively small political force in the opposition.
“Political instability characterized by unstable government is certainly not good,” Nepal said. “This government does not show good symptoms at all,” he added.
