India to assist Parbat district with Rs. 23.1m
KATHMANDU, OCT 20 - The Government of India has provided grant assistance of Rs. 23.1 millions to Parbat district to equip a local school with better computer facilities.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, District Development Committee, Parbat, and Shree Poorneshwor Higher Secondary School, stated to equip Shree Poorneshwor Higher Secondary School with a double storied computer block and supply of 40 computers and five printers which will add special facility for imparting information technology education for over 700 students in the school, a statement released by Indian Embassy in Nepal on Thursday read.
The project will be implemented by the District Development Committee, Parbat in accordance with the existing norms and regulations of the Government of Nepal, the statement further read.
This is the second development project being undertaken with the India’s assistance under Small Development Projects in Parbat District and several other projects are under consideration.
