KANCHANPUR, OCT 14 -
Police on Thursday evening nabbed two persons with pistol, bullets and grenade from Binita Mobile Gallery in Krishnapur VDC-2, Bankbazaar of Kanchanpur.
The arrestees are the mobile gallery proprietor Lokendra Bohora of Krishnapur VDC-2, Pahariya and Dinesh Nepali of the same place, police informed.
Police in plain clothes confiscated a pistol, its two-round of bullet, a plastic grenade and two detonators kept in a secret manner, according to an eye-witness.
As pamphlets of underground outfit, Seti-Mahakali Mukti Tigers, were also recovered from them, they might have long been involved in extortion and robbery in the area, police suspected.
The arrestee duos along with the confiscated arms were sent to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur for further investigation, police said. Investigation into the case is underway, police added.
Meanwhile, a Nepal Police squad on Thursday netted an Indian police personnel wandering openly with weapon in Mahendranagar bazaar of Kanchanpur. He was released later, Nepal Police informed.
District Police Office, Kanchanpur took control Indian cop Kiran Burma, who reached Mahendranagar to attend Nepal-India border meeting, with M-16 rifle.
