MAHENDRANAGAR, OCT 13 - Locals of Mahendranagar in Kanchanpur district have been complaining about Indian soldiers roaming freely in the Nepali territory.

The locals began protesting after they saw three Indian soldiers roaming on the streets with rifles.

According to legal provisions no national is allowed to cross into each other’s territory with weapons.

The soldiers, who were later identified as bodyguards of an Indian leader, were held after they were found entering the Nepali border with a 9mm Carbine rifle.

Nepali Police personnel arrested them but they were released shortly.
