MAHENDRANAGAR, OCT 11 -
A person has been killed and 26 others injured in two separate bus accidents in Mahendranagar and Dang on Tuesday.
Bus belonging to Bageshwori Yatayat (Na 4 Kha 650) met with an accident along the Mashi Highway in Mahendranagar at 9 this morning.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Police assumes the dead may be the conductor of the bus.
Critically injured Dilliram Pokhrel of Kohalpur, Birendra Pathak of Mahendranagar and another unidentified person have been referred to Bareli in India for further treatment. Others injured in the incident are receiving treatment in Mahakali Regional Hospital in Mahendranagar.
Similarly, 16 persons were injured when a bus (Na 2 Kha 9645) en route to Tulsipur from the capital met with an accident at Gwar River in the district.
The injured have been receiving treatment at the Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulsipur, police informed.
