KATHMANDU, OCT 10 - Prime Minster Baburam Bhattarai has directed Ministry of Labour and Transportation (MoLT) to carry out necessary steps to control difficulties being faced by the general people in public transportation.
Following criticism from general public that the transport entrepreneurs charged high fares and the public had to buy tickets from black market during the festive season, the prime minister directed MoLT Secretary Dr. Ramhari Aryal to control such act.
According to Bishwodip Panday, PM’s aid, Bhattarai has also directed the ministry to inspect transportation ticket counters and take action against those found involved in fraud.
The ministry has also directed to manage a toll-free telephone number in case a customer wants to report such fraud in progress.
Likewise, it has been informed that the general people can report frauds, black marketing and other shams immediately by calling private secretariat of the prime minister in toll-free number 1111 and automatic secretariat number 9841493687.
PM’s private secretariat has informed that immediate action would be taken if any fraud is reported.
