People continue to receive Tika on Ekadashi

KATHMANDU, OCT 07 -
People all over the country, who failed to visit their relatives on Bijaya Dashami, continue to receive Tika, Jamara and blessings from the elders on Ekadashi as well. It is believed auspicious to receive Tika from their elders until the Kojagrat Purnima--five days after Vijaya Dahsami.
People visit their relatives during the days after Bada Dashain as it is also the time for family reunion.
Yesterday, the public received Tika from President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at his residence in Shital Niwas.
The president also offered Tika and Jamara to Vice President Paramananda Jha, former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand, chiefs of security bodies, among others.
