Koirala barrier to consensus: Deuba
KATHMANDU, SEP 30 -
Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused party President Sushil Koirala of being the hindrance to consensus and added that no consensus would be forged from his part until the decision of dissolving the sister wings was pulled back.
Speaking to the party cadres, loyal to him who had staged an indefinite hunger strike against the dissolution of sister wings, in his own residence on Friday, Deuba averred that the consensus on the ‘middle-path’ proposal was unfeasible due to the reluctance of Koirala.
Member of Tarun Dal Laxmi Pariyar informed that Deuba was in favor of forging consensus on package.
Following the resignation by Deuba, leaders and activists close to him had broken their hunger strike after nine days. NC cadres of both the factions in favour of and against the party decision were on a hunger-strike for the last 10 days.
Pariyar informed that Deuba has decided to stage nationwide protest against the party tyranny after the Dashain festival.
