RAMECHHAP , SEP 18 - There persons of a family were killed and another one injured when their house was swept away by a landslide in Rasnalu VDC in Ramechhap district on Saturday night.
The village lies in the northern part of the district.
According to District Police Office Ramecchap, the house belonging to Shyam Babadur Rokka collapsed killing his daughter in law Kalpana Rokka, 22, daughter Sangita, 17, and two-year-old grand daughter Sangeeta Rokka.
Rokka’s another daughter, Gita, who was seriously injured in the tragedy, was rescued by the locals and police personnel deployed form Betali Police Station. Her condition is said to be critical.
Shyam Bahadur and his son have gone abroad for employment.
Soon upon learning about the tragedy, a police team lad by Inspector at Dhobi Area Police Office rushed to the incident site.
Till the time our correspondent filed this repot, the team had not reach the site.
