KATHMANDU, SEP 16 - The CPN-UML has formed a four-member probe committee to look into the attack on Journalist Khila Nath Dhakal.
A UML Central Committee (CC) meet held at the party headquarters in Balkhu on Friday took the decision to this effect. The party has been facing intense criticism from several quarters for protecting the mastermind of the assault on journo Dhakal.
The panel headed by party Vice Chairman Ashok Rai includes Vice Chairman Bidya Bhandari and Central Committee members Rajendra Gautam and Yogesh Bhattarai as the members.
The panel has been asked to come up with the probe report at the party CC meet on October 13.
Morang district chief of UML aligned Youth Association Nepal (YAN), Parshuram Basnet has been accused of ordering the attack on journalist Dhakal on June 5.
