PAC directs FM to pay tax payable amount of diplomatic employees

KATHMANDU, SEP 12 -
The Public Accounts Committee of the Legislature-Parliament has directed the Finance Ministry to provide the Foreign Ministry the amount equivalent to the tax payable by the diplomatic employees posted at various missions abroad.
Today’s meeting of the PAC also directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cooperate with the Ministry of Finance deposit the diplomatic employees’ taxes in revenue.
It has been revealed lately that the taxes payable by the diplomatic employees have not been deposited in the revenue.
The PAC today called the two secretaries of the ministries to question them over the issue.
