A meeting of the dispute resolution sub-committee of the Constitutional Committee held at Singha Durbar today ended inconclusively.
The meeting has been postponed until for the next notice after the Nepali Congress (NC) leaders demanded to write constitution by forwarding the peace process.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, NC parliamentary party leader Ram Chandra Paudel said progress in writing constitution was made though there are few disputed issues.
He said rank harmonization of the PLA combatants, relief package, modality, regrouping and numbers should be determined before settling the contentious issues seen during the constitution writing.
UCPN (Maoist) leader Dev Gurung said the statute writing process could not progress due to NC’s unnecessary stance. He added that if the constitution was not drafted in time NC will be responsible for delay in constitution writing.
