KATHMANDU, SEP 06 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday urged everyone to become tolerant for the next three months and strive to complete the remaining tasks, saying that the period is extremely challenging.

Chairman Dahal said so at a function organised by the UCPN (Maoist) to mark the 7th Bishal-Kumar Memorial Assembly here in Sindhuli. “A lot of works need to be done in the three months period. We have to get over the challenges without having any ill feelings against each other.”

Saying that he would not resort to accusations against anyone else, the Maoist chairman warned of what he termed the “final verdict” if anybody tried to obstruct despite such a tremendous flexibility shown by his party. Dahal, however, chose not to speak about the internal rift within the party.

Chairman Dahal opined that major political parties such as Nepali Congress and CPN-UML are traveling on the same boat and every one has equal responsibility to sail the boat forward.

He claimed that his party (Maoists) was capable to do miracle. Dahal further said he have shown renunciation and miracle at once against the false rumors that he would not allow his deputy Baburam Bhattari to become the prime minister.

In what sounded like a self-praise, the Maoist chairman claimed the current government would not have been possible without renunciation on his part. He said the current path adopted by the Maoists was challenging and the issue should be resolve with everyone’s support.

While recalling how the Maoists (then rebel) stopped the deposed King Gyanendra Shah from embarking on a visit to the US, Dahal said the current prime minister, Baburam Bhattarai, would be conferred a warm farewell before his departure to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
