UML to cooperate with govt: Khanal
KATHMANDU, SEP 05 -
Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal Monday said that his party would co-operate with the government led by UCPN (Maoist) Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai in concluding issues of the peace process and constitution drafting.
Khanal stated that he would sedately work to complete the twin tasks of the peace process and constitution drafting, staying out of the government.
Speaking to Radio Kantipur this morning, Khanal said the party has opted to stay as an opposition after the failure to join the government.
Saying that internal disputes between the parties have been impeding the peace process, Khanal outscored the need of unity among the political parties.
Also on the occasion, he dismissed the rumors regarding his imperiling position in the party and alleged of securing an inviolable position in the party.
