KATHMANDU, SEP 04 - In a bid to iron out the party's internal rift surfaced after the handover of the keys to the arms containers to the Special Committee, the UCPN (Maoist) is holding its office bearers meeting.
The top leaders of the party are trying to forge an agreement at the meeting being held at the party headquarters in Paris Danda, Kathmandu.
The establishment faction has apologised for handing over the keys to the Special Committee without proper management. Likewise, Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya faction has also said sorry for its unscrupulous protests.
The party has also summoned a Standing Committee meeting later today. The leaders are due to hold further discussions on the issue at the Standing Committee meeting.
