Anti-corruption campaign launched; ‘CIAA giving clean chit to corrupts’
JANAKPUR, SEP 03 - CPN (Maoist) Chairman Matrika Prasad Yadav accused the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) of giving clean chit to corrupt government officials.
Addressing a special campaign against corruption in Janakpur on Saturday, Chairman Yadav claimed that all should unite to end corruption.
“No single person or a party can stop corruption,” said Yadav. “Honest personnel from all sectors should unite against it.”
He even urged all to rise above politics and support the campaign.
Addressing the campaign with slogan, ‘Corruption is not common crime, its treason’, accused the VDC and Municipality offices of not honouring ‘right to information.’
In a bid to stop surging corruption in the nation, the campaign was launched after the all-party meeting summoned by Yadav expressed solidarity in it.
