KATHMANDU, AUG 29 -
The office bearers meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has decided to swap the proposal of three-month extension of the Constituent Assembly (CA) with a new six-month term extension in the Legislature-Parliament on Monday.
Maoist Secretary CP Gajural informed that the meeting has also suggested proposing the six-month CA term extension at the parliament today following the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.
It is understood that the new prime minister is likely to sworn-in Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJF-L) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar as the new Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister as per the requirement of a minister in registering amendment bill for CA term extension today.
