Bhattarai to assume office, induct small Cabinet today

KATHMANDU, AUG 29 -
Newly elected Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai is all set to take charge of his office on Monday.
Prime Minister Bhattarai will assume his office after taking the oath of office and secrecy. He is shceduled to attend teh swearing-in ceremony at the President’s office in Shital Niwas at 1 this afternoon.
He is also due to induct small Cabinet comprising two members today.
Bhattarai has requested the Madhesi leaders to provide names for the ministers to be inducted in the Cabinet.
As per yesterday’s agreement, Morcha has 11 ministries including Home and Information and Communications.
It has been reported that Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadhar would be inducted as the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister in the new cabinet. However, other ministries are yet to be decided.
