KATHMANDU, AUG 27 -
Rastriya Prajatantra Party –Nepal (RPP-N) has said that it will support the party that ascertains to declare Poush 27 (Nepali date), the birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, as National Unity day.
RPP-N put-forth its demand in front of UCPN (Maoist) candidate Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and Nepali Congress candidate Ram Chandra Poudel, who had reached to garner support for the majority government in the prime ministerial poll this morning.
“We will support the candidate who ascertains us to declare the day as National Unity day,” RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa said.
“The candidates are positive on our demand but they are yet to make a final call,” Thapa added.
RPP-N has four lawmakers.
