UML CC meet underway
KATHMANDU, AUG 22 - The CPN-UML Central Committee meeting is underway at the party headquarters in Balkhu on Monday.
The meeting has been scheduled to discuss party’s future strategy on the government formation, sources said.
It has been reported that the third largest party in the Constituent Assembly would strive its conclusion on party’s future policy in case the parties opt for the formation of the government through majority.
The meeting would also discuss the proposal prepared by the UML Standing Committee (SC) on the peace process.
UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal is due to present his report on the progress made so far in the peace process and government formation.
The UML has already decided not to lay claim on the premiership this time. The UML Parliamentary board has also proposed not to participate in the prime ministerial elections if the parties fail to form consensus government.
