NOC to appoint MD through open competition
KATHMANDU, AUG 21 - Ministry of Commerce and Supplies has made provisions to select the managing director for the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) through an open competition.
The ministry made such provisions as the Finance Ministry and Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) directed all the government offices to elect their chiefs through open competition.
CIAA has already directed NOC to make the provision after the cabinet releaved Digambar Jha from his duties as the managing director on Friday.
According to Ministry of Commerce and Supplies co-Spokesperson Deepak Pandey, the NOC is doing its homework to hold the open competition for the post as directed.
