Parties close to consensus on peace: Sharma
KATHMANDU, AUG 20 - UCPN (Maoist) Standing Committee member Janardan Sharma on Saturday said the political parties have neared an agreement on the issue of peace process.
He further informed that the parties have sketched a clear draft on peace process.
Speaking to the journalists in the Capital today, the Maoist leader said the parties have more or less agreed on the integration of 8,000 Maoist combatants, modality, rank, rehabilitation, among other issues.
Saying that the Maoist leadership was vital at this hour of crisis to complete the peace process, Sharma also said that the Maoists were ready for a Nepali Congress-led government later.
