KATHMANDU, AUG 13 - CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel has said that Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal should resign on moral grounds.
Addressing a gathering of intellectuals organized by CPN-UML Dolakha-Kathmandu Liaison Forum here on Saturday, he said the Prime Minister should resign as he has already committed in writing to do so, as per the five-point agreement.
Stating that there was no alternative of a national consensus for peace and constitution, he said all the parties should come together for a national consensus.
He said the party was of the view that the Maoist combatants should be given a choice of voluntary retirement, integration and rehabilitation.
UML politburo member Pashupati Chaulagain accused the UCPN-Maoist of not showing any eagerness in completing the peace process. RSS
