LAHAN, AUG 13 - Armed Police Force and marijuana traffickers opened fire at each other from either banks of Balan River—the border of Siraha and Saptari district—on Friday night.
It has been reported that the five traffickers opened fire APF personnel while they were trafficking marijuana along the East-West Highway. The traffickers fled the scene leaving 70 kg marijuana behind after the APF personnel returned gunshots, APF Inspector Ganesh Singh said.
However, there were no human casualties from the gun battle, Singh said.
