NEA cuts power supply in Dhading govt offices
DHADING, AUG 13 - The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has disconnected power supply to the defaulting government offices in Dhading district as well.
As soon the NEA disconnected the electricity supply to the quarters of the District Hospital, they paid the overdue bills to get it reconnected.
Similarly, District Administration Office and District Jail also cleared their bills following warnings from the NEA, Suraj Kumar Shah, NEA chief in the district informed.
At least 5.9 million rupees is yet to be collected from 12 government offices of the district headquarters, Dhading Besi.
Despite the NEA rule to cut the power supply lines if the dues are not paid within three months, the electricity authority had not implemented it in government offices since long time.
The Dhading District Hospital cleared the bills on Friday. Similarly, District Jail also cleared the bills. Other government offices have also assured to pay the bills as soon as possible, said Shah.
